In four starts at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWT Raceway), three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano has yet to finish outside the top-five, and Saturday, at the 1.25-mile racetrack in Madison, Illinois, the Team Penske driver was fast once again.

Piloting the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Logano laid down an outstanding lap time of 32.817 seconds (137.124mph) to collect his 35th career pole in the NASCAR Cup Series – and his first at WWT Raceway.

Logano was far and away the fastest vehicle in time trials on Saturday, winning the pole by an astounding 0.276 seconds – the largest margin between first and second on an oval in the NASCAR Cup Series since Chicagoland in 2017.

Defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, who continues to hunt down the end of a winless streak that has lasted more than 50 races, will start on the outside of the front row on Sunday, with Ryan Blaney in third.

Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammates Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe rounded out the top-five, with Carson Hocevar, Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs, and Denny Hamlin rounding out the top-10.

The entire top-10 consisted of drivers in The Chase for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship, with Alex Bowman being the highest non-Chase driver, qualifying 11th in the No. 48 Ally Financial Chevrolet Camaro.

Six drivers in the fight for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship qualified outside the top-10, including Austin Cindric (13th), Ryan Preece (14th), Daniel Suarez (15th), Tyler Reddick (18th), Chris Buescher (21st) and William Byron (24th).

The Enjoy Illinois 300 at WWT Raceway will take place Sunday, September 13 at 3:00 PM ET on USA Sports.
