The rain has arrived in Concord, North Carolina, and NASCAR’s plan to shift its on-track schedule for Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, unfortunately, did not work. With lots of rain in the area, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series practice and qualifying have been cancelled.

After dueling it out in a fantastic run to the finish last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Carson Kvapil and Corey Day will start on the front row for Saturday’s Blue Cross NC 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kvapil, driving the No. 1 Roto-Rooter Chevrolet, will have control of the initial start.

Defending NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Jesse Love will roll from the third position, with Brent Crews in fourth, and Sam Mayer rounding out the top-five. The rest of the top-10, when the race gets underway, will be Taylor Gray, Austin Hill, Sheldon Creed, William Sawalich, and Rajah Caruth.

The starting lineup, per the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Rule Book, was set by NASCAR’s performance metric.

Drivers in the Chase for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship that will start outside the top-10 in Saturday afternoon’s event at Charlotte include Sammy Smith, who will start 13th, Parker Retzlaff in 16th, Justin Allgaier in 23rd, and Brandon Jones in 28th

The Blue Cross NC 300 at Charlotte will take place (weather permitting) at 4:00 PM ET on Saturday, October 10. Coverage will be on The CW.
