It doesn’t appear that Kaulig Racing, which fields entries in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, is the destination for Brad Keselowski, after his recent split with the team formerly known as RFK Racing.

Keselowski won’t drive the No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in 2027, leading many to speculate about his future plans, figuring that Kaulig Racing, with its connection to Stellantis and its project to (eventually) return Dodge to the NASCAR Cup Series, would be the perfect fit.

But Chris Rice, CEO of Kaulig Racing, shut down those rumors on Thursday, speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

“No, I have not had any conversations with Brad Keselowski about driving a Dodge, even if Dodge comes back, right, obviously we’re super late, you’re not hearing me talk about it much no more so that should tell you what’s happening. End of the day, no, we have not had any conversations with Brad.”

“It’s not crossed Matt Kaulig’s or my mind at all. We have a plan of what we’re going to do in 2027; it’s already done.”

Kaulig Racing currently fields the No. 10 and No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Cup Series, and has the No. 10, No. 12, No. 14, No. 16, and No. 25 RAM 1500 in their NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program but hasn’t yet confirmed who will drive the second one of its Cup Series entries.

AJ Allmendinger is signed long-term to drive the No. 16, but Ty Dillon, who drives the No. 10, hasn’t been picked up for 2027, as of yet.

“Ty [Dillon] is here in 2026 and obviously we’ve been in conversations quite a bit, still in conversations, and we love Ty [Dillon],” Rice added. “We wish that we could run better and have [run] better. We absolutely love Ty, and I think in the near future, we should have and be able to talk about the things that we’re doing.”

Now, Rice says that Keselowski won’t be driving for Kaulig Racing in 2027, but aside from the connection with Dodge, how did this connection get drawn? Well, aside from Rice saying it seems like every driver who ever leaves their ride ends up connected in the rumor mill to Kaulig, the CEO of the team did point to one situation that may have made people think.

“I had a meeting with Brad Keselowski for something completely non-driving, just something he’s on a committee for and he wanted my opinion, so I had a meeting with him in his motorhome. I didn’t think nothing about it, I went in his motorhome, and I sit down for him for about 45 minutes and talk about the whole thing that he wanted a conversation about… I walk out of there, I wave at some reporters, and it didn’t even cross my mind. Then the news comes out, and I’m like, oh my god, here we go.”

The question still remains: where does Brad Keselowski go in 2027, because apparently, it’s not going to be Kaulig Racing.
