2026 ARCA Menards Series East champion Tristan McKee will be taking on an expanded slate of NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series events in 2027.
The 16-year-old development driver for NASCAR Cup Series team Spire Motorsports will be piloting one of the organization’s trucks in several events next season. The organization did not, however, confirm in its announcement Wednesday which truck McKee will drive, or the races in which he will compete.
Due to his age, McKee is only eligible to compete in 11 NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series events, at the following racetracks: St. Petersburg, Bristol, North Wilkesboro, Lime Rock, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Bristol, Bowman Gray, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, New Hampshire, Phoenix, and Martinsville.
Additional details on a schedule and vehicle for McKee will be announced at a later date.
The Williamsburg, Virginia-native has made three career starts in the NASCAR Truck Series, collecting a career-best result of fifth-place last time out at Bristol Motor Speedway. McKee, a member of the Spire Ascent program, is three-for-three in top-10s in the Truck Series, with a sixth-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and an eighth-place finish on debut at Richmond Raceway.
During his short time as a professional race car driver, McKee has found incredible success, winning four ARCA Menards Series events and a pair of ARCA Menards Series East standalones, en route to a championship. McKee is also the defending champion of the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series.
