NASCAR has dropped the hammer following last Saturday’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway, where several members of the Chad Bryant Racing crew went after Corey Heim following the Late Model Stock Car event – doing so near the Martinsville Hot Dog Stand.
SEVEN CREW MEMBERS have received a penalty of some sort following the incident, and have been penalized as follows:
- CHAD BRYANT has been fined $2,000 and suspended indefinitely from NASCAR. Additionally, he is suspended from the 2027 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway and will remain under NASCAR probation for one year. Bryan will be required to complete anger management training through a NASCAR approved program.
- STEVEN CIVATARESE has been fined $1,000 and suspended indefinitely from NASCAR. Additionally, he is suspended from the 2027 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway and will remain under NASCAR probation for one year.
- RYAN BURROW has been fined $500 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31, 2027.
- CHASE BURROW has been fined $250 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31, 2027.
- BRAD HOUSEWRIGHT has been fined $250 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31, 2027.
- RYDEN LAPCEVICH has been fined $500 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31, 2027.
- DYLAN JENKS has been fined $500 and placed on NASCAR probation until December 31, 2027.
Chase Burrow, Ryan Burrow, and Brad Housewright were penalized for a separate incident that happened earlier in the day.
The following penalties are a result of the scuffle that broke out following Saturday’s Late Model Stock Car event at Martinsville, where Chad Bryant, the owner of Treyten Lapcevich’s No. 77, confronted the defending Brickyard 400 winner Corey Heim several minutes after the race behind the pit wall.
While some punches landed (including one on the Martinsville Hot Dog Stand menu), Heim was uninjured and unfazed by the scuffle.
