In his final full-time campaign in the NASCAR Cup Series, Alex Bowman will have a new spotter.
On Sunday, prior to Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kevin Hamlin, Bowman’s long-time spotter (and a long-time spotter for Hendrick Motorsports) confirmed in a social media post that he will be leaving his post as the eyes in the sky for the No. 48 Ally Financial Chevrolet after this season.
Hamlin confirmed Sunday that he’ll move to LEGACY MOTOR CLUB in 2027, serving as spotter for Riley Herbst and the No. 84 Monster Energy Toyota Camry XSE.
The Instagram post reads… “Today’s my last race with Hendrick Motorsports. It’s been an incredible 14-year journey making some great memories and even better friends. I’m beyond excited for a new chapter with Riley [Herbst] and LEGACY MOTOR CLUB. An amazing opportunity for me and my family, and I cannot wait to get started.”
