After back-to-back seasons of only running a partial schedule in the NASCAR Truck Series, fan-favorite driver Timmy Hill is back competing full-time in 2027.

On Thursday (November 5), Team Reaume announced that Hill, a long-time journeyman across NASCAR’s National Series, would be joining forces with the multi-truck organization to run full-time in the NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series.

Hill will compete in Friday’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the No. 2 Ford F-150, before driving the entry full-time in 2027.

“I’m excited to take this next step and race full-time with Team Reaume in 2027,” said Hill. “I’ve watched Reaume’s program grow, and I believe they have all the tools to compete with the larger team’s week in and week out. I’m excited to bring my veteran experience and help push this team forward.”

A native of Port Tobacco, Maryland, Hill has been competing across NASCAR’s National Series for more than a decade and a half, debuting in 2011, but made his debut in the NASCAR Truck Series two seasons later in the Fall of 2013, finishing sixth at Talladega Superspeedway for Rick Ware Racing.

In the 13 years since debuting in the Truck Series, Hill has only bettered that result one time, finishing fifth in the October 2019 event at Martinsville Speedway, the first top-five finish for Hill Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series, in just their ninth start.

“Timmy and I go back to 2014, when we first raced together as teammates,” said Team Owner Josh Reaume. “Over the past few years, our friendship has grown in a way I never expected. We’ve both run our own teams, and we’ve leaned on each other through the same challenges that come with being an owner in this sport. I’m honored that the Hill family recognizes the growth of this team and trusts that we’re better working together, and I’m proud to welcome Timmy to Team Reaume for 2027.”

February’s season-opener at Daytona will mark the first time since May 2019, when Hill drove the No. 87 for NEMCO Motorsports, that he’s driven for a different team in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

Hill’s incredible amount of experience, not just in the NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series, but also in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, will, no doubt, be an incredible resource for Team Reaume on their quest to improve their overall performance.

The 33-year-old driver enters 2027 with 146 NASCAR Cup Series starts, 243 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts, and 132 starts in the NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series, for a grand total of 521 NASCAR National Series starts.

“We’re putting all our chips on the table for 2027. Our goal is to take this program’s performance to the next level, and adding Timmy is a big step toward that. He’s one of the most experienced drivers in the series, and the knowledge he brings, both on the track and as a former team owner, will make every truck in our program better,” said Amir Alexander, Team Principal at Team Reaume.
