Iconic restaurant brand Hooters is returning to NASCAR for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, adorning the No. 41 Haas Factory Team Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Cole Custer.

As part of the sponsorship agreement – a co-primary deal with Haas Factory Team backer Cysco – Hooters will be putting on a ‘Hooters Pit Stop Party’ at its Doral restaurant in Miami, Florida, which will include an appearance by Cole Custer.

The brand has had a storied history in NASCAR, notably serving as the anchor sponsor for the late Alan Kulwicki during his 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship run. The restaurant chain has also sponsored Brett Bodine, Greg Biffle, and most recently, Chase Elliott, an agreement which lasted eight seasons before coming to an end in 2024.

In July 2024, Hendrick Motorsports sued Hooters for breach of contract and unjust enrichment, citing that the restaurant chain had not paid $1.75 million worth of its sponsorship payments to the winningest team in the NASCAR Cup Series. That suit was settled for $900,000 in March 2025.

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Homestead-Miami Speedway will serve as the first appearance for Hooters since that lawsuit was filed.

Cole Custer will make his fifth start at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend in the Cup Series, where his best finish in previous tries has been 22nd in 2020. The Ladera Ranch, California-native is, however, a winner at the racetrack, dominating the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event at the track in 2017, winning by more than 15 seconds.
