Friday’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event at Martinsville Speedway will serve as the final event for Hill Motorsports, Timmy Hill, owner of the team, confirmed on social media the morning of the race.
Hill, a native of Port Tobacco, Maryland, says his focus now will turn to being a driver.
“A new chapter is ahead,” the social media post reads. “Martinsville will be my final scheduled race as a team owner. I’m incredibly grateful for the people, memories, and support we’ve had. For now, my focus shifts back to where it all started, driving. Those plans coming soon. Excited for what comes next.”
The 33-year-old driver founded Hill Motorsports in 2019, fielding the No. 56 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for both himself and his brother, Tyler Hill. As the seasons went on, Timmy took over the primary driving duties.
From 2019 to 2026, Hill Motorsports made 148 NASCAR Truck Series starts and two ARCA Menards Series starts.
In that time, 148 races, the family-owned team managed to secure a pair of top-five finishes – a second at Talladega in 2021 with Tyler Hill and a fifth at Martinsville in 2019 with Timmy Hill – and 10 top-10s.
Hill will announce his driving plans for 2027 at a later date.
