In the midst of a close championship battle with Max Reaves in the ARCA Menards Series East, it will be Tristan McKee, driving the No. 77 Chili’s Chevrolet SS for Pinnacle Racing Group, who will lead the field to the green flag in Friday’s JR & CO. 150 at Iowa Speedway.

The 16-year old from Kannapolis, North Carolina posted the fastest time of 23.383 seconds (134.713mph) during the 20-minute timed qualifying session. It is McKee’s first career pole in the ARCA Menards Series national division, as well as his second ARCA Menards Series East pole of 2026.

McKee’s Pinnacle Racing Group teammate Carson Brown, who was fastest in practice, posted the second quickest time of 23.514 seconds (133.962mph). Brown will run double-duty on Friday and Saturday between ARCA and the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (where he will make his series debut in the No. 32 for Jordan Anderson Racing).

Isaac Kitzmiller tied his career-best starting position, finishing out the top-three spots. Thomas Annunziata posted the fourth quickest time, with ARCA Menards Series points leader Jake Bollman rounding out the top-five positions.

ARCA Menards Series East points leader Max Reaves, who won the latest East Series race at Flat Rock Speedway, settled for the sixth position. Jade Avedisian, Ty Fredrickson, Gavan Boschele, and Jason Kitzmiller completed the top-10 in qualifying.

Chase Buscaglia (No. 11) and Kadence Davenport (No. 7) were the only drivers who did not post a lap in the 20-minute qualifying session.

The JR & CO. 150 at Iowa Speedway will take place on Friday, August 7, at 7 PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
