Todd Gilliland is returning to Front Row Motorsports in 2027.
The Sherrills Ford, North Carolina-native will continue to pilot the No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2027 and beyond, after signing a contract extension with the three-car operation owned by Bob Jenkins.
Gilliland has been a part of the Front Row Motorsports (FRM) corporate structure since 2020, spending two seasons competing full-time in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series before being promoted to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022 – where he’s remained ever since.
The 26-year-old driver is in the midst of his fifth full-time campaign in the NASCAR Cup Series, where, piloting the No. 34 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, he’s recorded a single top-10 finish this year (a sixth-place result at Bristol) and currently sits 24th in points with six races until the post-season.
In 164 NASCAR Cup Series starts, Gilliland has recorded a pair of top five finishes (2022 Indy Road Course and 2025 Talladega) and 16 top-10 results.
A social media post from Front Row Motorsports, captioned “He’s back,” contains an image which simply reads, “Todd Gilliland has signed a contract extension with FRM.”
Gilliland is the second driver to have his fate confirmed by Front Row Motorsports for the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series campaign, joining Zane Smith. Earlier this season, Smith inked a multi-year contract extension to continue as the driver of the No. 38 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
The status of the organization’s third full-time entry, which has been piloted by Noah Gragson for the last two seasons, is currently unknown.
Additional details for Gilliland’s return to Front Row Motorsports, including sponsorship and personnel rosters, will be revealed at a later date.
