Layne Riggs, driver of the No. 34 Ford F-150 for Front Row Motorsports, has quietly become a master of road course racing in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, winning the pole for Saturday’s event at Lime Rock Park.
The Bahama, North Carolina-native shot to the top of the speed charts in qualifying on Saturday morning, laying down a time of 53.683 seconds (99.115mph) to put his Wheelhouse Racing School Ford F-150 on the pole for the LiUNA! 150.
Riggs clocked in just over five hundredths of a second quicker than outside polesitter Connor Mosack, driving the No. 7 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST for Spire Motorsports. Mosack was the fastest driver to post a lap in Group 1.
Watkins Glen winner Kaden Honeycutt will roll from third position in the No. 11 for TRICON Garage, which dominated the road course events in 2025 with Corey Heim. Honeycutt’s teammate, and the winner of Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event, Thomas Annunziata, will start fourth in just his second-ever NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start.
Ty Majeski rounded out the top-five drivers in the session. Landen Lewis, Gio Ruggiero, Daniel Hemric, Chandler Smith (who was quickest in practice), and Jake Garcia completed the top 10.
Christian Eckes, who is racing this weekend with a Grade 3 Lateral Sprain in his left ankle, managed to qualify his No. 91 NAPA AUTO CARE Chevrolet Silverado RST in 13th-place. Other notables include Parker Kligerman (16th), Ben Rhodes (17th), and Stewart Friesen (18th).
The highest qualifying of the RAM drivers was Justin Haley, who will start 23rd. Corey LaJoie (25th), Mini Tyrrell (28th), Brenden Queen (29th), and Colin Braun (33rd) all struggled in Saturday’s qualifying session.
Making his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series debut on Saturday, NTT INDYCAR Series driver Louis Foster will start 26th for Freedom Racing Enterprises.
The LiUNA! 150 will take place Saturday, July 11 at 1:30 PM ET on FOX SPORTS 1.
