Taylor Gray has inked a contract extension with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), which will keep him behind the wheel of the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra for the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign.

The 21-year-old driver has collected a pair of victories in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for Joe Gibbs Racing over the last two seasons, and, with three races remaining in the regular-season currently sits 12th in points.

Jason Ratcliff, the winningest crew chief in the history of NASCAR’s second-tier division, will return to the organization in 2027 as shot-caller of the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra.

”I am super appreciative of everyone at Joe Gibbs Racing for this opportunity,” said Gray. ”I feel like Jason (Ratcliff) and I have developed a really strong relationship that goes beyond racing. He has been a great mentor to me and helped me a ton both on and off the track. And overall, our team continues to grow and improve, so I’m excited about the rest of this season and next year working together again.”

Gray, in 67 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts, has managed to collect a pair of victories (Martinsville 2025 and Kansas 2026) as well as 12 top-fives and 26 top-10s. The New Mexico-native, now residing in Denver, North Carolina, has started from the pole four times, and over the course of his career, has an average finish of 16.7.

We look forward to Taylor and the 54 team finishing this season strong and building on that success for 2027.”

Gray also has 57 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts to his name, with 11 top-fives and 22 top-10s. Other accolades include three ARCA Menards Series victories, one ARCA East win, and five wins in the ARCA Menards Series West.

The 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign will mark the third full-time campaign for Gray in NASCAR’s second-tier division, which will begin at Daytona International Speedway in February 2027.
