Mini Tyrrell will not return to Kaulig Racing in 2027.
Chris Rice, CEO of Kaulig Racing, confirmed during a press conference on Friday that Tyrrell, winner of the inaugural season of RAM’s Race For The Seat reality show, had a one-year deal to drive the No. 14 RAM 1500 in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, and Friday’s event at Homestead-Miami Speedway would mark his final outing with the team.
The Manassas, Virginia-native recorded a single top-10 finish throughout the opening 24 events of the NASCAR Truck Series campaign, with an eighth-place result at Watkins Glen International. Tyrrell’s other two top-15 finishes came courtesy of an 11th at Naval Base Coronado, and a 15th at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October.
Kaulig Racing is planning to announce its NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series lineup soon.
Race For The Seat is expected to return for a second season to determine who will drive the No. 14 RAM 1500 in the NASCAR Truck Series, again, for 2027, while the Free Agent Program is confirmed to be returning next season, as well.
As for Tyrrell, it is unknown what his plans for next season are; and whether they include a return to Late Model Stock Car competition or a swap to another organization in NASCAR’s National Series.
