“At the beginning of the year, I knew that it was the year I was going to retire… but I wasn’t quite ready yet.”

Justin Allgaier has inked a multi-year contract extension, along with long-time supporter BRANDT Fresh Agriculture, with JR Motorsports, which will see the driver-sponsor combination continue on the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for 2027 and beyond.

JR Motorsports confirmed the long-speculated news on Monday in a social media video, where Allgaier admits that he went into this season planning for it to be his final year in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. That, however, will no longer be the case.

The Riverton, Illinois-native is in the midst of the best season of his career in NASCAR’s second-tier division, collecting six victories, 19 top-five finishes, and 23 top-10s, all while boasting an average finish of 9.6.

Heading into the season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Allgaier is in a fantastic position to collect his second title in the O’Reilly Series, leading a fleet of five drivers within 42 points of the leader – which includes Jesse Love, Corey Day, Carson Kvapil, and Sheldon Creed.

For Allgaier, a contract extension, and a multi-year one at that, allows the former ARCA Menards Series champion to further expand upon a Hall of Fame-worthy stat line, featuring 34 wins, 187 top-fives and 325 top-10 finishes.
