Thomas Annunziata will not return to the ARCA Menards Series in 2027 – at least full-time.

The Colts Neck, New Jersey-native revealed in a media availability on Friday, just hours before the ARCA Menards Series season finale at Kansas Speedway, that he won’t be returning to the series next season – indicating he’s solidified his plans for next year, elsewhere.

“I won’t be here next year,” Annunziata said Friday. “But, you guys will find out what I’m doing next year, later. Hopefully, maybe I’ll do some part-time stuff, maybe just some one-off, but it doesn’t make too much sense for my career to come back.”

The 21-year-old driver is in his first season of full-time competition in the ARCA Menards Series, where he pilots the No. 70 JBL Toyota Camry for Nitro Motorsports. Entering Friday’s season-finale at Kansas, Annunziata is second in point standings, behind teammate Jake Bollman.

In 25 ARCA Menards Series starts, Annunziata has recorded two wins (both at Lime Rock Park), as well as 14 top-fives and 22 top-10s. The Nitro Motorsports driver also recorded pole positions in back-to-back events at Berlin and Elko.

Annunziata has taken an interesting path to get to the ARCA Menards Series prior to this season, having run a total of 18 races in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series – mostly road courses in 2024 with multiple teams, and a 13-race, variable schedule with the now defunct Cope Family Racing in 2025.

The Toyota Racing USA driver has also run two events in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, both at Lime Rock Park. This year, driving the No. 1 for TRICON Garage, Annunziata was running inside the top-five when his truck caught fire, ending an extremely solid run.

Annunziata’s 2027 plans will be revealed at a later date.
