With his future plans locked and secured, it will be Carson Brown, driving the No. 28 Grizzly Coolers Chevrolet SS for Pinnacle Racing Group, who will lead the field to the green flag in Friday’s Atlas 200 at Madison International Speedway.
Brown, who will join Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series lineup in 2027, posted the fastest time of 18.218 seconds (98.803mph) during the single-car qualifying session. It is Brown’s fourth career pole in the ARCA Menards Series, and his third in the last five races. In addition to winning the pole, he was also fastest in the 45-minute practice session.
Brown’s Pinnacle Racing Group teammate Tristan McKee, who is currently leading the ARCA Menards Series East point standings, posted the second quickest time of 18.248 seconds (98.641mph), giving PRG a front row lockout. Max Reaves, who won the latest race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, finished out the top-three spots.
Nitro Motorsports teammates Thomas Annunziata and Jake Bollman, who are in a tight battle for the ARCA Menards Series championship, rounded out the top-five positions.
Isaac Kitzmiller, who earned a career-best second place finish in the last race at Springfield, settled for the sixth position. Ty Fredrickson, Isabella Robusto, Taylor Mayhew, and Will Robinson completed the top-10 in qualifying.
Brad Smith (No. 48) was the only driver who did not post a lap during the single-car qualifying session.
The Atlas 200 at Madison International Speedway will take place on Friday, August 28, at 9 PM ET on FOX Sports 1.
