UPDATE – AUGUST 18:
On Facebook, KLAS Motorsports reveals that Andy Jankowiak will be partnering with RSS Racing for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event at Daytona International Speedway, presumably driving a third entry for the organization, the No. 38.
There are still limited sponsorship opportunities available, including on the roof rear, lower rear quarter-panel and the spoiler of the entry.
Andy Jankowiak, a fan-favorite driver in the ARCA Menards Series, is planning to make his first foray into NASCAR’s National Series later this month in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event at Daytona International Speedway.
KLAS Motorsports, the organization responsible for fielding Jankowiak’s entry in the ARCA Menards Series, announced the news Saturday on their social media channels.
“We are excited to announce that Andy J has been given the amazing opportunity to run his very first NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race, the Winn-Dixie 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, August 28,” the post reads. “We will be announcing soon which seat Andy will be filling for the race, but in the meantime, if you want to be a part of this awesome opportunity for KLAS Motorsports and Andy J by being a sponsor for this race, please DM us here.”
Since 2021, Jankowiak has made 54 starts in the ARCA Menards Series – between his family-owned Andy J Racing and the newly-formed KLAS Motorsports (owned by Kevin Lapierre and Andy Suess) – recording six top-fives and 28 top-10s. Earlier this Spring, at Talladega, Jankowiak earned his first career win in a photo finish with Cleetus McFarland.
Jankowiak has been at the racetrack more than ever this year, competing in 10 of the 14 ARCA Menards Series events with the No. 71 team, collecting a single top-five (Talladega) and top-10 finishes at Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Chicagoland Speedway, and Iowa Speedway.
In six ARCA Menards Series starts at Daytona, Jankowiak has recorded five top-10s, with a best finish of sixth in 2022.
Further details, including the ride that Jankowiak will occupy in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway, will be announced at a later date.
