Chandler Smith will not be returning to Front Row Motorsports in 2027.

The Talking Rock, Georgia-native, who spent the last two seasons driving the No. 38 Ford F-150, will depart the team following the end of the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series campaign.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to Chandler for being a great representative of our NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series program,” a statement from Front Row Motorsports, released Tuesday, reads. “The list of accomplishments that he and the No. 38 team have obtained are impressive, with four wins to-date over the past two seasons, and we wish him the best on his continued career path.”

Smith joined Front Row Motorsports at the beginning of the 2025 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series campaign, and paired with crew chief Jon Leonard, has been to Victory Lane a total of four times, most recently at North Wilkesboro Speedway just two weeks ago.

“The team will remain committed to competing at the highest level in the series and contending for championships, for the remainder of 2026 and beyond. Additional updates on our 2027 plans will be shared when available.”

The 24-year-old has contested a pair of seasons in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, one with Kaulig Racing and another with Joe Gibbs Racing, and according to talk in the garage, could be headed back to the second-tier series with Richard Childress Racing.

Smith’s official announcement of future plans will come at a later date.
