2024 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Justin Allgaier is NOT retiring.
The Riverton, Illinois-native has been one of the biggest stories of the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign, obviously in large part because of the incredible six-win campaign he’s put together thus far, but also, because the 40-year-old has been candid about being uncertain about returning to the series in 2027.
In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90 on Thursday, Kelley Earnhardt-Miller, co-owner of JR Motorsports, put all of that uncertainty to rest, confirming that Justin Allgaier would be returning to the organization for “a couple more years”.
“[Justin Allgaier’s] been on fire, and I’m so glad that we talked him into coming back for a couple more years and not retiring yet,” Earnhardt-Miller said on Thursday.
Allgaier is the pilot of the No. 7 BRANDT Fresh Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro and has been since joining JR Motorsports in 2016. The vehicle itself, even though it’s featured year-to-year tweaks in the paint scheme, has become an iconic fixture of NASCAR’s second-tier division, which during his tenure in the series has featured three names – the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and now, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
Of Allgaier’s 34 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victories, 31 have come with JR Motorsports. The only three that haven’t, came with Team Penske (2010) and Turner-Scott Motorsports (2011 and 2012).
With still 12 races remaining on the calendar in 2026, Allgaier is already having the best season of his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series career, claiming six victories, 13 top-fives, and 16 top-10s in 21 races. With three races remaining in the regular-season, Allgaier has already clinched the Regular-Season Title, leading the points by 240.
Allgaier currently sits sixth on the all-time wins list in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, only behind Carl Edwards (38), Brad Keselowski (39), Kevin Harvick (47), Mark Martin (49), and Kyle Busch (102).
