Garrett Mitchell (AKA Cleetus McFarland) is adding one of the fastest tracks in NASCAR to an already jam-packed schedule of events in 2026.
The Bradenton, Florida-native will return to Niece Motorsports for a second start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on June 6, piloting the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado RST in the series’ annual trip to Michigan International Speedway.
Circle B Motorsports Auctions and Comprehensive Logistics will serve as major partners in McFarland’s return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, according to a Tuesday announcement from Niece Motorsports.
The 31-year-old driver made his highly anticipated NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series debut earlier this season at Daytona International Speedway, driving for Niece Motorsports, but had a disappointing result when his No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado RST snapped loose off Turn 4 and crashed into the inside SAFER Barrier, after an impressive 12th-place qualifying effort.
McFarland, an extremely popular motorsports/automotive YouTuber with 4.74 million subscribers, has also done the work to expand his reach in NASCAR this season, running more ARCA Menards Series events with Rette Jones Racing, while also signing a NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series deal with Richard Childress Racing.
Earlier this Spring, McFarland, to be approved to run at Talladega Superspeedway, competed in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for the first time, bringing his No. 33 Tommy’s Express Car Wash Chevrolet Camaro home 32nd, six laps down. Before approving him for a superspeedway, NASCAR is requiring McFarland to run the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Nashville Superspeedway on May 30.
McFarland has been the poster boy for steady improvement in the ARCA Menards Series this season, running four events – Daytona, Rockingham, Kansas, and Talladega – and recording a second-place result at Talladega (in a photo finish) after leading 19 laps, and a fourth-place result at Rockingham Speedway.
In addition to the June 6 event at Michigan International Speedway, McFarland has also been confirmed to run the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event at Talladega Superspeedway in October, once again driving the No. 4 Chevrolet Silverado RST, with sponsorship from Blues Hog.
