The weather has been abhorrent in Charlotte, North Carolina, this weekend.

It’s mid-afternoon on Saturday, and the only time that any NASCAR National Series vehicle has hit the racetrack has been for a couple of pace laps ahead of the now-twice-postponed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on Friday.

NASCAR Cup Series qualifying is just the latest session to be canceled.

The starting lineup for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 will be set by the NASCAR Rule Book — the performance metric.

Tyler Reddick and Ty Gibbs will share the front row for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, with Shane Van Gisbergen, Michael McDowell, and Chase Briscoe rounding out the top-five starting spots. Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Austin Cindric, Austin Dillon, and AJ Allmendinger round out the top-10 starters.

Austin Hill, driving the re-numbered No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing following the passing of Kyle Busch on Thursday, will start in 13th-place.
